For the very young

Children form many of their core ideas very early, by the age of seven much has already been decided. If we wait until we think they will understand, we may leave them prey to all sorts of prejudice, which they pick up out of the air around them. Key ideas about their role in the world, what can and cannot be asked of them, must be addressed in kindergarten. All kinds of abuse happen very early and it is essential to reach them (and perhaps also their misguided or too trusting parents) and give them the resources to make good decisions.
